A reserved ip address is for classic deploy model only, and this part of functionality is integrated into the public ip address. No need and not possible to assign a classic reserved ip address to an arm deployed vm. Assigning a static public ip to a load balancer is exactly the same as assigning one to a nic. Metallic usage of azure resource providers is controlled by the service principal that is used to create a virtualization client (hypervisor). To perform authentication, the virtualization client can use a managed identity or active directory application-based client credentials to access the azure or azure stack subscription. Exporting the data to a csv file needs however to take into account vms that might have multiple ip configurations per vmnic. When this is the case, simply piping the output to export-csv directly will result in a system.Object[] entry in the private ip address column.

The concern is what happens when our queries return a significant number of results, as in a big number of vms in the result set. In this context, search-azgraph doesn’t handle pagination itself transparently, but offers parameters to implement it easily ourselves. In order to use powershell to run our arg queries, we’ll need the search-azgraph cmdlet, which resides in the  az.Resourcegraph module.
